With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Cassandra “Cassie” Ann Pontiff, a beloved sister, daughter, aunt, and dear friend. Cassie was born on December 3, 1970, in Arnaudville, Louisiana, and departed this world on November 2, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Cassie spent her life in Henderson where she touched many lives with her warm spirit and infectious laughter. A proud member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society, she humorously referred to herself as the “Queen of Henderson.” Her dedication to her church community is a testament to her generosity and kindness. Cassie had an incredible gift for remembering the birthdays, anniversaries, and special dates of those she loved, a reflection of her profound affection for family and friends.
Cassie found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved listening to music and could often be found enjoying her iPad, watching cartoons with childlike glee, or piecing together puzzles - her favorite part was always doing the edges, leaving the middle for her family to finish. She thrived in the company of her loved ones, attending family gatherings and creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love.
A connoisseur of good food, Cassie’s favorites included gumbo, fried shrimp, crab fingers, and fried crawfish - the flavors of Louisiana that brought her joy and comfort.
Cassie was a beautiful blend of kindness, and innocence at heart. She lit up every room every time she entered and never met a stranger. She lived a life filled with love, joy, and cherished moments that will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
