A visitation took place at the funeral home in St. Martinville on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and continued on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.

A rosary was prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Rev. Bill Melancon officiated at the Funeral Mass.

Burial followed at St. Michael Cemetery.

A devoted family man and talented tank builder in the oil field industry, Clifton was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his craft.

Clifton will be remembered fondly for his love of work and the simple joys of life, especially his passion for cutting grass and maintaining his yard and flowers. Clifton treasured the time spent with his family, creating lasting memories and bonds that will be cherished forever.

He is survived by his children, Toni Marie (Jude) Lasseigne and John Allen Gaudet; grandchildren, Brent Gaudet, Amber (David) Hayes, Blake Lasseigne (Leaha), Tori (Calder Hebert) Gaudet, Misti (Blaize) Borel and Josh (Nancy) Morgan; greatgrandchildren, Thomas Hayes, Bella Hayes, Kenny Hayes, Brantsley Borel, Evvie Borel, Emory Lasseigne and Marisol Morgan; brothers, Louis Gaudet, Joseph Gaudet and Raymond Gaudet; and his sisters, Genieve Bateman, Joyce Gondron and Ethel Rodriquez.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Claudia Gaudet; daughter, Tammy Gaudet; parents, Joseph Sr. and Lelia Guidry Gaudet; brother, Dennis Gaudet; and his sisters, Hilda Gaudet, Lillian Fontenot and Shirley Hernandez.

Pallbearers were David Hayes, Thomas Hayes, Blaize Borel, Calder Hebert, Brent Gaudet and Josh Morgan.

Honorary pallbearer was Brantsley Borel.

Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville (337332-2111) was in charge of arrangements.
