Theresa Alexander Broussard

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018, at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Theresa Alexander Broussard, 93, who passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday and continue on Monday at 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Rev. Michael Sucharski, SVD, will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at a later date.
Mrs. Broussard was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and friends, working word search puzzles, watching wrestling on T.V., and playing Bingo and going to the casino. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Doris Thibodeaux and husband Ronald of St. Martinville; grandchildren, Jessica Vallere and spouse Jerious of Baton Rouge, Alpacino Thibodeaux of Jacksonville, Fla., Arielle Walker of Lafayette and Kamron Thibodeaux of St. Martinville; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Batiste, Ainsley Vallere, MaKaila Vallere, Carter Valsin, Abrielle Valsin and Ava Valsin; and one brother, James Alexander Sr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Broussard; parents, Murphy and Antonia Alexander Sr.; sisters, Rita Drake, Matilda Bernard and Mary Alexander; brothers, Murphy Alexander Jr., Antoine Alexander, Harry Alexander, Mitchell Alexander, Ambrose Alexander and Newman Alexander; and half-sister, Mary Filer.
Pallbearers will be Kamron Thibodeaux, Kaleb Batiste, Ronald Thibodeaux, James Alexander Jr., Alpacino Thibodeaux and Jerious Vallere.
Honorary pallbearer will be Samuel Alexander.
