— The decking of the pontoon bridge accessing Butte La Rose from the West Atchafalaya Protection Levee was raised by parish employees on Wednesday evening due to the rising level of water in the canal that drains Henderson Lake into the Basin. Parish officials say the crossing will be closed to traffic for an indefinite period, forcing local residents to detour via La3177/Atchafalaya River Hwy and I-10.
