— Parish crews raised the decking of the pontoon bridge accessing Butte La Rose from the West Atchafalaya Protection Levee this past Sunday due to the rising level of water in the canal that drains Henderson Lake into the Basin. Parish officials say the crossing will be closed to traffic for an indefinite period, forcing local residents to detour via La3177/Atchafalaya River Hwy and I-10.(Sally Angelle)
