Henderson – It was mostly a housekeeping session as the Henderson Town Council convened for its August meeting.
One item on the agenda dealt with Republic Waste Management, which increased its fee from $20.26 per month to $21.21 per month.
Courtney Journet addressed the council, asking for a zoning variance on property that she owns, and Mayor Sherbin Collette told her to get with city hall officials to discuss the issue.
Parks Commissioner Dale Duplechien addressed the council to update them on the progress in the pickleball court and to replace some signage that had been knocked down.
There was also in ordinance introduced that would require Mayor’s Court payments to be sent to various governmental entities. The ordinance will be voted on at the September meeting.
