The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces the start of a $1.43 million roadway improvement project on Smede Highway (LA 92-1) from LA 31 to LA 347 in St. Martin Parish.
Construction was scheduled to begin August 17 with the project anticipated to be completed in October 2026, weather permitting.
The project will include milling, base rehabilitation, asphalt overlay and related roadway improvements designed to improve the condition and long-term performance of the route.
