Gas prices fall 5 cents

Average gasoline prices in Louisiana have fallen 0.5 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.52/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 2,436 stations in Louisiana. Prices in Louisiana are 3.2 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 82.4 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has increased 14.3 cents compared to a week ago and stands at $5.418 per gallon.

According to Gas-Buddy price reports, the cheapest station in Louisiana was priced at $3.13/g Sunday while the most expensive was $4.99/g, a difference of $1.86/g.

The national average price of gasoline has risen 7.7 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.02/g today. The national average is up 3.6 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 93.1 cents per gallon higher than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
