St. Martin Parish Sheriff Becket Breaux announced the promotion of four command staff members earlier this month.
Capt. Marlon Miller will serve as Captain-Commander of the Criminal Investigations Division.
Miller has dedicated nearly 19 years of service to the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office. Breaux said Miller has consistently demonstrated professionalism, integrity and commitment to the citizens of St. Martin Parish.
Miller has worked extensively in the Violent Crimes, Patrol and Corrections divisions, where he gained substantial law enforcement experience. He most recently served as the lieutenant in the Violent Crimes Unit where he gained specialized experience working complex criminal investigations.
Capt. Camellia Rossyion will serve as the Captain- Civil Commander and Executive Officer to the Corrections Division Commander.
Rossyion has dedicated 18 years of service to the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office. She began her career as an Administrative Assistant at the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Detention Center before transferring to the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Training Academy, where she served in the same capacity.
She later transitioned into the Corrections Division as the Warden’s Administrative Assistant. Due to her strong work ethic and commitment, Breaux said, she was promoted through the ranks during her tenure in the Corrections Division.
Capt. Chris Gerard will serve as Captain-Corrections Commander/ Assistant Warden of the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center.
Gerard has dedicated 13 years of service to the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office. He began his career with the agency as a Correctional Officer where he quickly earned a reputation for his strong work ethic and dedication to the safety and security of both the staff and inmates, Breaux said.
Due to his hard work and exemplary service, he quickly advanced through the ranks.
He most recently served as the Corrections Lieutenant where he provided leadership in the daily operations of the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center Capt. Andrew Rigby will serve as Captain-Patrol Commander in the Patrol Department.
Rigby has served the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office for the past 12 years. He began his career at the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office in the Corrections Division, where he served as a Booking and Bonding Deputy.
In 2016, he transitioned to the Patrol Division. It was there that he developed his foundation and extensive experience in patrol operations and steadily rose through the ranks, Breaux said.
