Jerome Broussard, a native of St. Martinville, has been selected for induction into the USEA Eventing Hall of Fame Class of 2026, the sport’s highest honor in the United States.
Eventing is an equestrian triathlon where a single horse and rider pair compete across three distinct phases: dressage, cross-country, and show jumping. Originating as a military cavalry test, the sport evaluates a horse’s versatility, stamina, and obedience, alongside the rider’s skill.
A longtime supporter of eventing, Broussard helped create and sustain The Event at Rebecca Farm alongside his late wife, Rebecca “Becky” Broussard, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2015. His philanthropy, support of developing riders through the Rebecca Broussard Developing Rider Grants, leadership with the USEA Foundation, and commitment as a horse owner have made a lasting impact on the sport.
Broussard received his invitation July 16 at The Event at Rebecca Farm in Kalispell, Montana. The Class of 2026 will be formally honored at the Hall of Fame Gala during the USEA Annual Meeting & Convention in Arlington, Virginia, Dec. 11–13.
