Will this heat ever abate? I have managed to get out before 7am and have actually weeded two flower beds but still have several to tackle. If I can find a shady spot I can sit on the ground and snip at the weeds but when the sun gets to me that’s it.
I probably shouldn’t mention this in the paper but I will anyway. Waste management has promised to come pick up a moderate pile of small branches and a mysterious chest which is sitting across from my yard on the edge of the road but on levee property. I did not put it there but it came from my yard and I have been promised pick up for almost two months now and I can still see the pile right where it has been from the beginning. I want to say that at least one person in the parish public works department has been helping me get this issue resolved and has been very nice about the whole thing but she is getting no more action than I have after my six calls to the company.
I know I’m at the end of the parish but I pay my $80 plus per month to the waste management and that seems enough to get a little debris picked up. The levee board is now mowing around the debris and the weeds are getting tall.
