The Council on Aging will host its annual Shrimp Boil and Day of Praise at the Cade Community Center on Thursday, September 24, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. A light continental breakfast will be served. Bingo will be played from 10:00 a.m. until lunchtime. From 11:30 a.m. until 12:30
French Table - Every Wed., 10:00–11:00 a.m. A fun hour of French conversation and activities— Cajun, Creole, and international French welcome! Beginners to native speakers meet indoors in the AV room.
St. Martin Parish AARP #4460 meets the second Thursday of the Month at 6:00 p.m. at the Magnolia Center in St. Martinville. The next meeting is scheduled for Sept. 17, Oct. 8, Nov. 12 and Dec. 10. p. m., there will be musical entertainment. Door prizes will be given throughout the day, and a cash blackout game of Bingo will be played at 12:30 p.m. The event is open to St. Martin Parish residents who are 60 and older. Each person will receive three pounds of shrimp with, potatoes, corn, dessert, and a drink. Registration is now open and is limited to the first 350 people.
