Twenty-four participants at the St. Martinville French Table on July 22 learned more about the history of St. Martin Parish from a text written by Jack Trail (back row, seated fourth from left). Mélodie Dubuc (standing, center) and Julien St-Pierre (seated next to her) were visitors from Ontario. They made sure to put a stop at Longfellow-Evangeline on their itinerary on their long awaited trip. The St. Martinville French Table meets every Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Longfellow-Evangeline State Historic Site. All speakers of Cajun, Creole and international French are welcome, from beginners to native speakers. Admission is free. (Submitted)
