St. Martinville family’s house destroyed by fire

St. Martinville – A St. Martinville family lost everything in a Friday morning fire, and relatives started a fundraising account in their name.

Family members said the fire started around 11 a.m. Friday in the home of Gary and Misty Gotcher on Dugas Street.

The home and the hair salon run by Misty Gotcher in the house were complete losses, family members said.

A GoFundMe fundraiser was started by Connor Goss, the couple’s nephew.

Goss said on the fundraising page that the two lost everything in the house to the fire.

The fundraising page can be reached at https://www.gofundme. com/f/support-for-myaunt- and-uncle-after the-fire-4d37f.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
