July 4th Parade

Leading St. Martinville’s 4th of July parade back in the summer of 1967 was a Marine Corps Color Guard followed by the 85th Army Band from Fort Polk. The parade, sponsored by Beta Rho chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, featured members of the St. Martinville National Guard unit, area dignitaries, beauty queens, floats, antique cars, fire engines, horses, decorated bikes and Shriner clowns.
