Breaux Bridge – A Coteau Holmes man was arrested on multiple charges following a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Bayou Alexander Highway at 6:15 p.m. on June 15.
St. Martin Parish Sheriff Becket Breaux said that deputies with the Sheriff’s Office initiated the stop after they noticed the driver of a pickup truck commit a traffic violation.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was later identified as 35-year-old Ricky Walker of Coteau Holmes.
During the course of the investigation, deputies searched the vehicle and found suspected methamphetamine, body armor and a firearm equipped with a machine gun conversion device.

Charges
The investigation led deputies to obtain and execute a search warrant at Walker’s residence, where they seized a 3D printer, computers, 3D-printing materials and multiple machine gun conversion devices.
Walker was arrested and booked into jail on the following charges:
• La. R.S. 32:104 – Turning Movements and Required Signals;
• La. R.S. 32:415 – Operating a Vehicle while License is Suspended;
• La. R.S. 32:861 – Insurance Required on Motor Vehicles;
• La. R.S. 40:967(C) – Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (Methamphetamine);
• La. R.S. 14:95(E) – Illegal Carrying of Weapons;
• La. R.S. 40:1023(C) – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; • and La. R.S. 40:1752 – Unlawful Handling of Machine Guns.
