Top scholars announced
Commencement exercises for graduates of St. Martin Parish’s three public high schools were held Friday, May 15.
School officials said 459 students, including special education and those receiving skills option certificates, GED and certificates of achievement, participated in the graduation ceremonies. Cecilia High School had the most graduates at 181 followed by 173 at Breaux Bridge High, and 105 at St. Martinville Sr. High.
Breaux Bridge
Earning valedictory honors with a 4.34375 GPA at Breaux Bridge High was Ella Boudreaux, daughter of Brandon and Lanie Boudreaux.
Salutatorians with a 4.28125 GPA were Sanders Bonin, Jr., son of Sanders and Juanita Bonin and Ciara Soresi, daughter of Verna Alexander.
Diplomas were presented by St. Martin School Superintendent Frederick Wiltz and BBHS Principal Louis Blanchard.
Cecilia
Five students at Cecilia High School have completed their studies with 4.4375 GPAs in the honors curriculum and are tied for valedictory honors.
Grads
They are Molly Cecilie Cormier, daughter ofShala Cormier; Nikkie Lane Devillier, daughter of Lonnie and April Devillier; Nate Antoine Huval, son of Adrian and Laura Huval; Ella Grace Rebert, daughter of Oswald and Amber Rebert; and Tatiyanna Rochelle Wheeler, daughter of Timothy and Kerri Wheeler.
Salutatorians with a 4.375 GPA, was Eryn Rose Angelle, daughter of Wayne and Michelle Angelle, Diplomas were presented by Tiffany Francis, Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
St. Martinville Earning valedictory honors at St. Martinville Sr. High with a 4.5 GPA was Layla Renee Trimble, daughter of Lacey Trimble.
Salutatorian with a 4.343 GPA was Layanah Jolei Lee, daughter of Chelsea Leon and Lemel Lee III.
Awarding diplomas were SMSH Principal Jonathan Lane and Pamela Jordan, director of Federal Programs.
