Quentin Wiltz, originally from St. Martinville, was sworn in as Mayor of Pearland, TX on May 11. He has a background in business and public service and centered his platform on fiscal management, economic development, and community engagement.

Wiltz was raised by a mother, Mary L. Brown Wiltz, who worked in public education; and a father, Cramin P. Wiltz I, employed in the oil industry. He graduated from Catholic High School and later earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Southern University A&M and an Executive MBA from the University of Houston. Wiltz has three siblings, Darroll Wiltz, Kevin Wiltz and Cramin P. Wiltz II. His grandparents are Lionel Wiltz and Iva Neveu Wiltz.

Wiltz has served in several local leadership roles, including seven years on the Pearland Parks & Recreation and Beautification Board, where he spent four years as chairman. During his tenure, the city completed projects such as the Shadow Creek Ranch Sports Complex, expanded hike-and-bike trails, and implemented a fiveyear parks master plan. Professionally, Wiltz works in the oil and gas industry and holds certifications in project management and Lean Six Sigma. He previously served on the Pearland Chamber of Commerce Board, where he was involved in efforts that secured workforce development funding for job training and certification programs.

His community involvement also includes serving as chairman of the Brazoria County Alliance for Children, where he worked alongside local law enforcement on child abuse awareness initiatives. He has participated in additional efforts related to healthcare access, youth mentorship, food assistance, and veterans’ support.
