A.J. Guidry

A.J. Guidry
A.J. Guidry, standing, shared a story he wrote about the house in St. Martinville where he grew up and the family car at the recent meeting of the St. Martinville French Table. His father, Cyrus, bought a ‘36 Chevy business coupe from Mrs. Pala Delcambre. Since there was no back seat in a business coupe, he and his sister, Doris, rode on the package shelf next to the rear window! The table meets every Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Longfellow-Evangeline State Historic Site and welcomes all speakers of Cajun, Creole and international French, beginners to native speakers. (Submitted)
