Festival Crowd

Back in 1980 the Crawfish Festival was still being held in downtown Breaux Bridge and this picture recalls the curb-to-curb crowd of visitors that swarmed Main Street for the big parade. This view is looking south from the police station that was once across from the St. Bernard Cemetery. Police estimates put the number of festival visitors at around 100,000 that year.
