Beta Rho celebrates 94th Founder’s Day
Beta Rho’s Founder’s Day celebration was held at St. John Restaurant on Tuesday, April 28th. Enjoying the event were Chapter President Lynnie Bienvenu, Louella Champagne, Elaine Case, Bobbie Theriot and Shirley Fuselier. Absent when photo was taken is Arleen Oubre, Program Leader.

Beta Rho chapter held its Founder’s Day banquet celebrating the 94th anniversary of Beta Sigma Phi and the 68th anniversary of Beta Rho on Tuesday, April 28th at St. John Restaurant. President Lynnie Bienvenu welcomed members to the annual event.

President Bienvenu conducted the business meeting and called on committee chair to report on coming activities in the final months of the sorority year.

The Hattie B. Maraist Senior Girl Award will be presented at the graduation ceremony at St. Martinville High School announced chair Bobbie Theriot.

Sister’s Celebration chair Shirley Fuselier announced the social will be held on May 11th at El Corazon Restaurant.

Program chair Bobbie Theriot announced members will present a program on My Sister, My Friend at the social in May.

Adopted Family chair Shirley Fuselier announced the chapter continues to support a local family monthly.

Founder’s Day chair Arleen Oubre gave the Founder’s Day pledge and Shirley Fuselier led members in the Beta Sigma Phi Grace.

Louella Champagne read the message from the International Beta Sigma Phi Office.

President Lynnie Bienvenu presented the Girl of the Year Award to Bobbie Theriot.

Vice President Bobbie Theriot presented President Lynnie Bienvenu with the President’s Pin and a gift from the members for her year as President.

Members enjoyed exchanging gifts from secret sisters as Elaine Case assisted members in selecting new secret sisters for the coming year.

President Bienvenu announced “Beta Sigma Phi: Sister’s Light the World” as the theme for the 2026-2027 year.

Members enjoyed taking part in a program on Life is Laughing at You: Out of the Mouths of Babes. A discussion was held on understanding the way a child interprets a question or situation in telling an amusing story. Members shared the most embarrassing thing their children have shared with others. Truly “Out of the Mouths of Babes”, kids say the funniest things.
