ARBOR DAY – The St. Martinville Garden Club celebrated Arbor Day by planting a Magnolia tree at the St. Martin Parish Animal Shelter in St. Martinville on April 23. The planting symbolizes growth, renewal, and the community's commitment to both nature and animal welfare. Attending the ceremony were from left, Debra Thibodeaux, Nessie Laviolette, Raymond Buraid, Parish President Pete Delcambre; Fr. Jason Vidrine of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church; Glenda Kately, St. Martin Chamber board member; George Choplin, Mary Desormeaux, Mayor Jason Willis, Tilly Duplechin, Lucy LaPierre and Andrea Mire.
