Crawfish Festival celebration is this weekend!

Breaux Bridge – The Crawfish Capital of the World is putting the finishing touches on preparations for the annual world famous Crawfish Festival set to kick off Friday evening.

The festival, which had its origin back in 1959 when Breaux Bridge staged its Centennial Celebration. The first “Crawfish Festival” was held the following year.

Early bird campers are already arriving in their RVs in anticipation of the big event, which kicks off with opening ceremonies at 4:30 p.m. Friday and continues through Sunday afternoon with a full slate of popular bands, lots of good food and interesting crawfish themed competitions.

Family night tickets for the carnival are $25 for Wednesday and Thursday night and $30 Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The entry fee for the festival will be $10 on Friday, $15 for Saturday, and $5 on Sunday or $25 for a three-day pass.
