The Cecilia Lady Bulldogs fell to North Vermilion 7-4 in the regional round of the Division II Non-Select softball playoffs this past Tuesday to finish their season with a 13-15 record.
North Vermilion (266) advanced to a quarterfinal matchup with No. 5 Iota (25-7) but lost 3-0.
Iota faces No. 1 North DeSoto (27-8) in the semifinals at the state softball tournament at Sulphur’s Frasch Park at 2:30 p.m. Friday. North DeSoto beat No. 17 DeRidder (12-13) 15-0 in three innings in the regional round and topped No. 9 Pearl River (15-11) 9-1 in the quarterfinals.
