Breaux Bridge and Cecilia High both lost their best-of-three Regional Playoff Series in the LHSAA Division II Non-Select baseball playoffs this past week.
No. 13 seeded Breaux Bridge lost its series 2-1 to No. 4 Pearl River. The Tigers lost 5-2 on Friday, bounced back to beat the Rebels 2-1 on Saturday but then fell 7-5 in the second game played Saturday.
The Tigers finished the year with a 24-13 record. Pearl River (20-8) advanced to a quarterfinal best-of-three series at home against No. 5 Lakeshore (18-13) to be played Friday and Saturday.
In the second game of a two-game sweep of West Ouachita in the opening round of the playoffs, BBHS won 11-0 in five innings to advance. Details were not available by deadline for this past week’s Teche News.

Tigers starting pitcher Caynon Ardoin went the distance to earn the win, allowing three hits and no runs with four strikeouts and only one walk.
Sam Armentor went 2-for-2 at the plate with two RBIs and three runs scored. Benjamin Ellender doubled and drove in a run, and Bryce Melancon went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
Caynon Ardoin had a hit and a run, Kyson Rebert had an RBI and a run, Chase Broussard went 2-for-3 with two RBIs Christian Camacho was 1-for-1 with an RBI and two runs, and Tripton Kays went 1-for-2 with an RBI and two runs.
No. 17 Cecilia (18-18) lost a pair of games to No. 1 Brusly (29-5), falling 1-0 on Friday and 11-1 on Saturday in five innings.
The Panthers host No. 9 Iota (21-10) in a bestof- three quarterfinal series starting Friday.
