Magnolia Springs, an event venue located in St. Martinville was the setting for the meeting of Beta Rho chapter held on April 13.
Guest speaker Event Coordinator Mercedes Tillman presented a program on Physical Environment: Planning for Beauty and Utility. Tillman led members on a tour of the venue.
Members learned intimate ceremonies, receptions, retirement, birthday, anniversary celebrations, corporate events and more can be enjoyed with all of the amenities. The venue also has a chapel, bridal suite, groom’s lounge and bar and can accommodate space for 300 guests.
Everyone agreed Magnolia Springs has crafted spaces, warm hospitality and beautifully decorated and landscaped areas with generous parking with a touch of elegance for an unforgettable experience.
President Lynnie Bienvenu conducted the business meeting following the presentation. Committee chair reported on activities to be held in the final months of the sorority year.
Founder’s Day chair Arleen Oubre announced the annual event will be held on April 28.
Program chair Bobbie Theriot announced members will present a program on Life is Laughing at You: Out of the Mouths of Babes at the April 28.
Adopted Family chair Shirley Fuselier announced the chapter continues to support a local family monthly.
The Hattie B. Maraist Senior Girl Award will be presented by Beta Rho at the Awards ceremony in May at St. Martinville High School announced chair Bobbie Theriot.
Sister’s Celebration chair Shirley Fuselier announced the annual event will be held on May 11.
Members in attendance were President Lynnie Bienvenu, Shirley Fuselier, Elaine Case, Arleen Oubre and Bobbie Theriot.
