Breaux Bridge City Hall
The old Breaux Bridge City Hall building, which served the community as a school from 1907 to
1954, faced an uncertain future after a fire ravaged the second floor in the early hours of New Year’’s Day, 1981. Although engineers said the old building was still structurally sound, city fathers were considering the construction of a completely new facility. The structure had been used to house city
offices since 1959, when the town acquired it from the school board. (From the Teche News files)
