
Oh Winter! Away with thee!
Of cold and rain enough I’ve seen!
Yet, a purpose you do bring How we so hunger for a wondrous Spring All the more pleasant when she comes With a breeze less cold and a rose at dawn I see it now as in a dream A greensward sight, so pleasant a scene We patient ... may it not be long When comes again Spring’s Lovesong!

Our February Bayou Belle is Ava Allemond, the 18 year old daughter of Holly Huval Allemond and the late Jamey Allemond. She is a senior at Cecilia High School, where she is an honor student and a cheerleader. Ava is a member of the National Honor Society, BETA Club, PBIS committee, and has served as an athletic trainer for one year. Following graduation, Ava plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, majoring in Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology.
