Beta Rho chapter of Beta Sigma Phi held their annual Hands and Hearts social on Tuesday, February 10 at St. John Restaurant. Chair of the event was President Lynnie Bienvenu.
Members presented a program on the concept of love: the nature, forms and expressions of love.
In thoughtful discussion members revealed the concept of love is a deep affection for another, the nature of love is a gift of ourselves to another and the forms of expression are romantic, family and friendship.
At the conclusion of the program members agreed love knows no limit, no end to it’s trust. Love is patient, generous, humble, kind, selfless, forgiving, strong, successful and enduring. Love never fails.
President Lynnie Bienvenu conducted a brief business meeting and called on committee chair to report on activities in the coming months.
Program chair Bobbie Theriot announced the next program will be held on February 23. A program on how well do you know your state? will be presented by State Rep. Chad Boyer.
Adopted Family chair Shirley Fuselier announced the chapter continues to support a local family monthly.
Hattie Maraist Senior Girl Award chair Louella Champagne announced the award will be presented in May at St. Martinville High School.
Louella Champagne was the recipient of the floating basket gift presented by Shirley Fuselier.
Members present for the evening were President Lynnie Bienvenu Elaine Case, Arleen Oubre, Louella Champagne, Shirley Fuselier and Bobbie Theriot.
