The Cecilia High Bulldogs beat Breaux Bridge 36-32 on Friday in a District 5-4A matchup between the two St. Martin Parish Rivals.
Both teams played district games earlier in the week. Breaux Bridge beat Livonia 5748 on Feb. 3 to split the week’s district games. Cecilia lost to Opelousas 46-35 on Feb. 4 to also go 1-1 in district for the week.
St. Martinville split a pair of games, falling to Central of Baton Rouge 46-21 on the road in non-district action on Feb. 2 and beat Kaplan 53-24 on Feb. 3 in a District 5-4A game.

The Cecilia Lady Bulldogs beat Breaux Bridge 30-11 in a District 5-4A girls’ basketball game on Friday.
Both teams lost district games earlier in the week with Breaux Bridge losing to Livonia 51-26 on Feb. 3 and Cecilia losing to Opelousas 40-32 on Feb. 4.
St. Martinville closed out its season with a 34-27 District 5-3A loss to Kaplan on Feb. 3.
The girls’ regular season ends on Saturday with playoff pairings announced on Monday and first-round games to be played by Feb. 19. (See related story, this page.)
