Rotary Royalty to be presented this Saturday

St. Martinville – The Rotary Club of St. Martinville proudly announces its 78th Annual Mardi Gras Ball, set for this Sat., Feb. 14, at the Cade Community Center. This year’s theme, “A Night of Romance at Bridgerton,” promises an evening of elegance, music, and community celebration.

The event begins at 7 p.m. with the presentation of the royal court in ornate costumes, followed by live music and dancing provided by 5th Avenue until midnight. A public dress rehearsal will take place on Friday, February 13, at 7 p.m. at the Cade Community Center. Admission for the rehearsal is $5.

The Rotary Club invites the community to celebrate this longstanding tradition of fellowship, service, and Mardi Gras pageantry.

Proceeds from this event benefit the youth and the elderly of the community.

Rotary Royalty to be introduced at the event include: Queen of the Mardi Gras – Tiffany Plessala Tiffany Plessala serves as the office manager for Blue Bell Creameries in Carencro. She is married to Christopher Plessala, and together they have one daughter. The family resides in Youngsville. She also has a great love of fur babies including two dachshunds, a bassett hound and a cat.

Queen Mother Kerrie Latiolais

Raised as a military child for 23 years, Kerrie Latiolais developed adaptability, resilience, and a strong sense of community. A graduate of the University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL), she began her career with The Arc of St. Martin in 1989. Kerrie is the proud mother of three children and grandmother of two.

Queen Mother Christine M. Boudreaux

A native of Breaux Bridge, Christine M. Boudreaux earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Arts from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She currently teaches art education at St. Bernard School. Christine and her husband, Luke, have been married for 23 years and are the parents of two daughters.

Captain of the Ball Pete Delcambre Pete Delcambre serves as Parish President of St. Martin Parish. He graduated cum laude from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He owned and operated Pete Delcambre Construction; worked for the St. Martin Parish School Board; and as a loan officer. Pete and his wife, Lisa, share two children and four grandchildren.

Princess Royale Cherie Boyer

Cherie Boyer is a registered nurse at LOS Surgery Center. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McNeese State University. Cherie is married to Chad Boyer, and they are the proud parents of three children.

Princess Royale Sammy Frugé Olivier

Sammy Frugé Olivier is married to Patrick Olivier, with whom she shares two daughters and one grandchild. She owns Elite Administrative Services and Body Contouring by Anne Lynn and is also employed with MTS Physical Therapy and Wellness.
