There will be intermittent lane closures of the southeast bound lane of LA 353 (Cypress Island Highway) between LA 31 (Main Highway) and Cajun Drive and between Cypress Creek Road and Island Road beginning on Tuesday, February 10 until Monday, April 13, 2026, to replace and relocate gas lines.
These lane closures will occur, daily, Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., weather permitting.
Traffic will be maintained utilizing a flagging operation.
The road will be open to regular traffic with no lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.
No detour will be required and emergency vehicles will have access to the area but may encounter delays.
The southbound lane of LA 975 (Whiskey Bay Highway) between I-10 Westbound Ramp and Bayou Manuel Road will be closed Wednesday, February 4 until Saturday, February 21, to allow for power pole replacements.
This lane closure will utilize a flagging operation and will occur daily from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., weather permitting.
The road will be open to regular traffic with no lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.
No detour will be required and emergency vehicles will have access to the area but may encounter delays.
