This view of Henderson Lake just south of I-10 shows the mud flats and bushes that emerged when the lake was drained back in the Fall of 1976. The opening of the Henderson Control Structure was part of plans to keep the lake drained for at least four weeks to make the lake bottom more attractive for fish spawning.
