Bienvenu releases final book in sci-fi series

St. Martinville – Local author Bob Bienvnu has released the fifth and possibly final book in his “Time Traveller” science fiction adventure series.

Bienvenu, born and raised in St. Martinville, said the book, “Time Revisited” sees protagonists Gerard Bourque and his wife Susan de Mahy Bourque go into the future with their new modern time machine, where they visit their older selves.

They also return to 2015 with their kids in search of thieves from the planet Quartrar, who have gone back in time with their less sophisticated time travel ship to rob King Arthur, Queen Elizabeth I, Cleopatra and Leonard da Vinci of their treasures.

Representatives of the De Beers Diamonds company are waiting to pay the Quatrar aliens millions for stolen jewels from Queen Elizabeth, Cleopatra and King Arthur and for priceless works of art taken from da Vinci, which will be sold through an auction house, Michelle’s Treasures.

Gerard, Susan, Cleopatra and Arthur recover the jewels and artwork before the thieves can sell them, and two Quartrian generals subdue the three alien thieves and take them back to 1900.

Gerard and Susan then return Cleopatra and Arthur and their treasures to their times, and return Elizabeth and da Vinci’s treasures to them as well.

The Bourques then take their children back to experience the 1972 and 1976 Olympics, seeing the great swimmer Mark Spitz and the great gymnast Nadia Comaneci compete.

Gerard’s sister Maggie also takes the time machine for a girls’ night out with Susan and friends Linda and Liz to visit Queen Elizabeth I in 1560, where they help her and Sir Francis Drake procure silver and gold from their Spanish enemies.

Gerard and Susan also visit the future, meeting their older selves and their children and grandchildren, and notice the wormhole through which the time machine has gone has given time travelers amazing youth and vigor. The two find that their twins can even fly.
