St. Martinville chef and caterer Michelle Broussard of Michelle’s Whisk Wagon presented a program on Healthy Homestyle: Baking for the Beta Rho meeting held on Jan. 12. Chair of the program was Elaine Case.

Broussard, well known for her popular food business, explained how the business evolved from catering to taking care of food and treat cravings. Broussard takes the stress out of a busy day providing healthy meals from breakfast to lunch and dinner.

Members learned everyone can enjoy her sweet and savory treats and platters as the menu focuses on comfort food perfect for satisfying cravings or catering small gatherings with love in every bite.

At the conclusion of the meeting members enjoyed a sampling of Mediterranean chicken pasta salad showcasing one of her weekly menu offerings. Broussard also presented members with menus and a recipe for her banana blueberry protein muffins.

Members agreed this is a perfect solution for everyone in their busy life.

President Lynnie Bienvenu conducted the business meeting following the presentation. Committee chair reported on activities to be held in the coming months.

Program chair Bobbie Theriot announced the next meeting be held on Jan. 26. A program on Entrepreneurship will be presented by St. Martinville business woman Saydi Landry of Ellie Bloom Boutique.

Adopted Family chair Shirley Fuselier announced the chapter continues to support a local family monthly.

Chair of the annual Hands and Hearts social, President Lynnie Bienvenu announced the social will be held on Feb.10.

The Floating Basket gift was presented to Shirley Fuselier by Bobbie Theriot.

Members present for the meeting were President Lynnie Bienvenu, Elaine Case, Arleen Oubre, Shirley Fuselier and Bobbie Theriot.
