After over 25 years of successfully helping those in need of eye glasses in St. Martin Parish, the St. Bernard/St. Francis Food Pantry, has transferred the program to the Breaux Bridge Lions Club.
The Pantry has helped hundreds of St. Martin Parish residents who were in need of an eye exam and glasses for over a quarter of a century but due to the ever-expanding food pantry and the increasing number of residents that it helps with food assistance, the eye glass program was scheduled to be closed until the Breaux Bridge Lions Club stepped in.
Nicole Blanchard, a Charter member of the Club said “The Lions’ Club has been promoting eye health for over 100 years and this will be the perfect opportunity for the Breaux Bridge Lions Club to assist our St. Martin Parish neighbors who are in need of glasses”.
If you are in need of an eye examination or know of someone who may need glasses, email the Lions Club at [email protected].
If you would like to donate to this program, send a check, made out to the Breaux Bridge Lions Club, PO Box 51, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517. Eye Glass Program should be indicated on the memo line.
