Parc Hardy improvements Mayor Louis Kern (with shovel) turned the symbolic first spade of earth in Dec. 1995, to mark the start of a $500,000 project that called for construction of major and softball facilities at Parc Hardy in Breaux Bridge. On hand for the ceremony were (from left) Joey Picard of Joe Picard Inc., general contractor; Kris Dugas, the director of the city’s community and economic development; Millie Huval and Calvin LaGrange of the Crawfish Festival Association; Councilwoman Tina Begnaud; City Clerk Pattie Dupuis; and Jeanne Seaux and Glenn Angelle of the Angelle Guidry Partnership, which designed the work.
