Tweny five participants from the surrounding area shared the origins of first names in their families at the Dec. 10 St. Martinville French Table. As much time was spent on nicknames as legal names! Speakers of Cajun, Creole and International French, from beginners to native speakers, are welcome every Wednesday at Longfellow-Evangeline State Historic Site.
