The St. Martin Parish Library has announced the winners of its 2025 Spooky Story Contest. This year’s competition invited both students and adults to write original 250–500 word stories designed to send chills down readers’ spines—and participants truly delivered.
First place went to Lauren Thornton for her eerie tale “The Woods Know Her Name”. Second place was awarded to Brookelynn Moreno for her haunting story “The Girl in the Mirror”.
“The creativity and imagination displayed in this year’s entries were outstanding,” said Charlar Brew, Director of the St. Martin Parish Library. “We’re proud to celebrate these talented storytellers and deeply appreciate everyone who shared their work.”
