LDWF now accepting applications for 38th Enforcement Academy

The application period for the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Enforcement Division’s 38th Enforcement Academy opened Monday and will stay open until Dec. 22.

This Enforcement Academy will be a Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) hybrid academy class meaning that both qualified POST certified and non-POST certified candidates can apply.

Applicants can search for the job title “Wildlife Enforcement Cadet” on the Louisiana Civil Service website at www.civilservice.louisiana. gov. “We are excited to open the application period for the next LDWF Enforcement Academy. This is an opportunity for motivated men and women to embark on a challenging and rewarding career serving Louisiana’s people and natural resources,” said Col Stephen Clark, head of the LDWF Enforcement Division. “We encourage anyone that is interested in law enforcement and protecting our state’s outdoor heritage to apply and take the first step toward becoming a Louisiana wildlife agent.”
