Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser and the Council for the Development of French in Louisiana (CODOFIL) announce the launch of Exel Louisiane, a new economic development initiative designed to support Louisiana businesses, professionals, and organizations seeking to grow their capacity to operate in French and tap into the power of the global Francophone economy.

Exel Louisiane offers free technical assistance and visibility to Louisiana professionals who want to engage with French-speaking clients – whether they are residents, tourists, or international partners. This free program equips Louisianans with the technical assistance needed to strengthen their French-language services and develop a Francophone clientele comprised of locals and tourists alike.

The program serves Louisiana professionals in three main ways:

• Offering French resources, such as signs intended to promote a Francophone work environment.

• Hosting professional development opportunities such as workshops and economic missions to Francophone countries.

• Listing all members on the Discover French Louisiana promotional map, which is marketed through CODOFIL’s social media.

Exel Louisiane is open to businesses, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, tourism bureaus, and civic leaders who offer services in French or want to grow their ability to do so. Participants benefit from increased visibility, linguistic credibility, and the opportunity to be part of a larger movement positioning French as a language of economic connection in Louisiana and beyond.

Interested professionals, businesses, and organizations can learn more and join the initiative on the Exel Louisiane webpage. Follow @codofil on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn to discover how French continues to thrive as an economic, cultural, and educational asset in Louisiana.

The Council for the Development of French in Louisiana (CODOFIL) is a state agency dedicated to the promotion and development of the French language and Francophone cultures in Louisiana through education, cultural events, and international partnerships. From immersion education to scholarships, CODOFIL serves as a central hub for Francophone initiatives across the state.
