VETERANS DAY – Veterans Day ceremonies were held at the Longfellow Evangeline State Historic Site on Saturday morning with a flag raising ceremony honoring military veterans. Those who served in the armed forces were treated to coffee and a meet and greet, breakfast and the flag ceremony. Veterans Day is celebrated each Nov. 11 to thank all who have served honorably in the U.S. military, in peacetime or wartime. The City of St. Martinville also held a program on Saturday for Veterans Day that included a parade, a flag raising and recognition of veterans. (Submitted Photo)
