Cecilia – A 39-yearold Arnaudville man was arrested on Oct. 30 and charged with first-degree homicide following a lengthy investigation into a Jan. 4 shooting in Cecilia.

Murder, St. Martin Parish Sheriff Becket Breaux said.
At about 2:30 p.m. on the afternoon of Jan. 4, deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from a passing motorist regarding a body that was found in a wooded area in the 2200 block of Bushville Highway in Cecilia.

™ a man who had died as a result of gunshot wounds.
Murder
Following further investigation, he was identified as Ryan Charles, 32, of Arnaudville, who had been reported missing by family members on Jan. 3.
On the evening of Oct. 30, investigators with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office secured and executed an arrest warrant for Edmond, who was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the above charge.
