Baton Rouge – The Baton Rouge office of the Louisiana Department of Revenue (LDR) will stop accepting cash payments effective Nov. 1.
This policy, part of an ongoing initiative to improve the efficiency of LDR’s payment processes, is already in effect at the department’s regional offices in Alexandria, Lafayette, Monroe, New Orleans and Shreveport.
Beginning Nov. 1, the Baton Rouge office will accept payment by check, credit card, debit card and money order only.
Taxpayers can also make payments online at www.revenue. louisiana.gov.
