WATER TOWER WORK – A canopy covers the top of the elevated water tank on Denbas Street in St. Martinville as work continues on rehab work during the water district consolidation process. Structural improvements on the tank has been completed by the contractor and the interior of the tank is currently being sandblasted, which is about 50 percent complete, McBade Engineers & Consultants chief engineer Jeremy Fontenot told the Consolidated Water District No. 4 board this past week at its monthly meeting. Work on the tower is expected to be completed within a month or a month and a half, Fontenot said. (Chris Landry)
