Gas prices fall 4.2 cents

Average gasoline prices in Louisiana have fallen 4.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.66/g today, according to Gas-Buddy’s survey of 2,436 stations in Louisiana. Prices in Louisiana are 9.3 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 1.3 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has decreased 1.3 cents compared to a week ago and stands at $3.652 per gallon.

According to Gas-Buddy price reports, the cheapest station in Louisiana was priced at $2.32/g Sunday while the most expensive was $3.39/g, a difference of $1.07/g.

The national average price of gasoline has fallen 5.8 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.08/g Sunday. The national average is down 11.1 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 9.0 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
