Participating in the Hunter Safety and Firearm Clinic, sponsored by the Wildlife and Fisheries Commission were Clayton Ledet, Andre Thevenet, Doug Guidry, Quinn Hebert, Lloyd Guidry, Reed Hebert, Ben Hebert, Danny Hamilton, Ron Hebert, Richard Guidry, Troy Hebert, Rich Hebert, Tim Hebert, Thomas Gravouilla, Danny Dauterive, Willis Wyche, Teresa Dauterive and Denise Guidry.
Little Flower School 4-H officers elected for the 1975-76 school year were Gerald Guidry, president: Cynthia Cascio, vice-president; Stephanie Schexnayder, secretary; Jenifer Quebedeaux, treasurer; Dorothy Guilbeau, reporter; and Julie Guidry and Mary LeBlanc entertainers.
The Teche Elementary 6th Grade 4-H officers included Angela Dalfrey, president; Jennifer La-Grange, vice-president; Octavia Ledet, secretary; Paula Calais, reporter; Adele Angelle, treasurer; Joy Schexnailder, program chairman; Mark Hebert and Robert Celestine, pledge leaders; Sarah Meyers and Sharon Batiste, song leaders; and Lisa Broussard, prayer leader.
J.R. “Butch” Coles was elected president of the newly organized Arnaudville Sertoma Club. Others elected to serve were Robert Tim” Mallet, Father Jim Dorion and Jude Robin, vice presidents; Howard Thibodeaux, secretary: Howell Phillips, treasurer, and Ray Reed, sergeant at arms.
Grocery prices included: Tall can Carnation Milk - 3/89¢; 6 pk. Miller Lite beer - $1.49; Half-gallon Clorox - 59¢; and Ground Beef - 99¢/lb.

Members of the homecoming court at Cecilia High School were Melissa Devillier, Naomi Angelle, Kari Serrette, Tonya Dalfrey, Keri Guidry, Vanessa Jones, Nicole Zeringue, Dana Lormand. Karen Trahan, Susan Thibodeaux. Dana Dore, Mary Agnes Davis, Molli Courville, Greta Zeringue, Shari Serette and Tana Walker.
Among the committee chairman appointed to gather information for the St. Martinville Ready City program were: Tilden Bonin, economic development; Pat Theriot, quality of life; Ben Stonecipher, government services and organization; Sis Chataignier, community activities and facilities: and Henri Bienvenu, education..
Officers and members of the St. Martinville Sr. High Student Council for the 1985-86 school year included Adam Pierre, president; Denise Trail, vice president; Kelly Duplantis, secretary; Brady Matthews, treasurer; Linette Duplantis and Kimberly Chambers, senior representatives; Tricia Olivier and Steve Richard, junior representatives; Shone Pierre and Patti Theriot, sophomore representatives; Carla Doucet, Mark Chretien and Kimberly Smith, freshman representatives.
Jamie Smith, a sophomore at Breaux Bridge High School placed first in the parish Chicken-NQue Contest and went on to capture first place in district competition.
Four sugarcane producers from St. Martin Parish were honored as 1985 award recipients in the Louisiana Sugarcane High Yield Awards Program sponsored by the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service and the American Sugar Cane League. They included Randolph Sam, Roy Latiolais and Robert P. Albert, all of St. Martinville; and Chris Latiolais of Parks.

Members of the 2000 Homecoming Court at St. Martinville Sr. High School included Shannon Gordon, Dana Mitchell, Merylon Ledet, Albertina Mitchell and Nicole Poirier; seniors; Hailey Poché, Megan Berard and Heidi Poché, juniors; Jill Theriot, Ashley Louviere and Leryn LeBlanc, sophomores; and Brittney Berard and Jancie Bienvenu, freshmen.
