Beta Rho chapter of Beta Sigma Phi held their first meeting of the 2025-2026 year on September 8th at the home of hostess and program leader Bobbie Theriot.
Members toured the home of Ricky and Dana Hulin who presented a program on Home Planning: The Home-Arcitecture and Finance. The Hulin’s explained to members about the construction of the container home built in 2021. .
Members learned the home suits the lay of the land and is the perfect size in fitting their needs. It has all of the amenities.
Dana and Ricky shared their experiences in building the home which includes a living room, dining/kitchen/ pantry and work area with multiple storage spaces and a bedroom with an on-suite bath.
The outside area is landscaped to perfection as a nod Ricky’s mom who kept a beautiful yard with an assortment of blooms.
Members enjoyed the tour and meeting their beautiful dog Grace who welcomed everyone. Everyone agreed it is a truly work of art in construction and design.
At the conclusion of the presentation President Lynnie Bienvenu welcomed members to the first meeting of the 68th year and called on committee chair to report on coming activities.
Program chair Bobbie Theriot announced Dr. Jude Theriot will be the guest speaker on September 22nd at the home of hostess and program leader Shirley Fuselier. Dr. Theriot will present a program on The Story of Tea.
President Bienvenu announced the chapter received a 3 Star rating from the Beta Sigma Phi International Office for her year as President during the previous year .
The chapter will celebrate their annual Thanksgiving social on November 25th announced chair Theriot.
Elaine Case was the recipient of the floating basket gift from Arleen Oubre.
Yearbook chair Bobbie Theriot presented the chapter Yearbooks to members.
Members present for the meeting were President Lynnie Bienvenu, hostess Bobbie Theriot, Arleen Oubre, Louella Champagne and Elaine Case.
