Retired Louisiana National Guard Colonel — Retired Louisiana National Guard Colonel Ike Nomey of Breaux Bridge hosted a luncheon on Sept. 12 at Buck and Johnny’s Restaurant in Breaux Bridge for the Old Guard Guys group of National Guard Retirees. All of these members live in Louisiana and served in the Louisiana National Guard with many from local units in Breaux Bridge and St Martinville. Overall, the group represents hometowns across Louisiana. The group meets every other month at local restaurants throughout the region to share memories and keep miliary comradery alive. The next event is planned for November 14 at Fezzo’s Seafood in Scott. (Submitted)
