Breaux Bridge – In a continued effort to enhance public safety and respond decisively to rising violent crime, the Breaux Bridge Police Department announced the formation of its Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT).
VCAT is a specialized unit composed of highly trained officers dedicated to identifying, locating, and apprehending individuals responsible for violent crimes within the City of Breaux Bridge. This team will work in close collaboration with local, state, and federal partners, utilizing intelligenceled policing strategies and advanced investigative techniques.
Team members include Breaux Bridge police officers Keilan Boyd, Devon Courville, Sgt. Traven LeBlanc and Lt. Joshua Martin.
Chief Albert “Buz” LeBlanc stated, “The safety of our residents is our top priority. With the creation of VCAT, we are sending a clear message that violent crime will not be tolerated in our community. This team is built to be proactive, strategic, and relentless in its pursuit of justice.”
